Faye sat on her couch thinking about the encounter she had with Diana earlier. She couldn’t believe she actually said that to Dianas face… she doesn’t even know why she did. She just felt trapped, like she couldn’t breathe anymore. She was suffocating herself with her love. Faye sighed and slid deeper into the couch hiding her face with the pillow. She wished she could go back to that moment with her and Diana. They were so happy together finally… but she ruined it.

“Faye!” Diana screamed. Faye let go of Diana and pushed herself to the side her bed.

“What?” she said a little annoyed.

“Why do you always do that to me? Every time I try to talk to you and see how you are actually doing you just ignore it and kiss me.” Diana pushed her hair off of her face and fixed her shirt.

Faye smirked. “You don’t like me kissing you?” Faye started to inch closer to Diana.

“No.” Diana said. “Stop. You know I do, but why cant we just talk?”

Faye got off the bed and ran her hand through her hair. “I don’t want to talk.”

Diana shook her head. “why not?”

Faye turned to Diana. “Because we aren’t together, we don’t need to.”

Diana tried to hid the hurt from her face and got up from the bed. “We are friends though, and friends talk..”

Faye shook her head and stared at Diana. “This is nothing more than a fuck. We are not friends.”

Tears started to cloud Dianas eyes. “Why are you being so mean?”

“Because!” Faye yelled. “You wanted to talk. So Im talking, you just don’t like what I have to say.”

Diana wiped tears from her eyes. “This is more than a fuck. You’re lying.”

Diana inched closer to Faye and ran her hands across Fayes face. She leaned in and was inches away from Fayes face. “You love me. I know you do.”

She pulled Faye closer with her left hand and kissed all her love into Faye. She wanted Faye to feel what they had, or at least admit it. Diana could feel wetness on her face but she was un sure if it was from Fayes or her own tears.

Faye wrapped her arms around Diana bringing her closer. She knew she loved Diana but she was just so scared, scared that she loved Diana so much.  Faye quickly pushed Diana away. “Stop.”

Diana let go of Faye and just watched all the emotions run across Fayes face.

“Diana. I don’t love you. I don’t know why you think that. You were always just a-“ Faye looked up at Dianas eyes. She could see all the pain in Dianas eyes, she was scared just like Faye. “your just a fuck. That’s all you are, that’s all you mean to me.”

Diana’s heart shattered the moment Faye said that. “Faye-“ Her voice broke. “Faye- I love you.” Diana thought about reaching for Faye but she knew it would only make it hurt more for her. Instead she grabbed her jacket and headed to the door. “You know one day you are going to have to let someone love you.” Diana looked at Faye one more time before heading out the door.

Faye watched as Diana left, taking all her love away with her.

Faye curled up on the couch. Trying to stop herself from crying. She pressed the pillow closer imagining it was Diana she was holding. She missed her. And most of all she loved her, but could she ever get her back? Faye closed her eyes and let the tears stream down her face…. “I love her…” She whispered. “I love her so much it hurts.”
